Massive Comic Book and collectibles "garage sale" – KSNT Topeka
Topeka resident Jake Livgren hosted a unique collectibles garage sale that promises to be a haven for fans of comic books and memorabilia from the past....
Livgren... scours the internet, attends other garage sales and explores nearby shops in his quest to scavenge as many comics and memorabilia items as possible. His mission is to provide a place where every “comic book geek” can come and find something that holds sentimental value to them.
Disney talks up a new Pirates of the Caribbean project but reports all over celebrity internet sites say Johnny Depp says "no thanks" to being involved.
Star Wars rumours: Disney is desperate for cash because of a January deadline to pay off a debt owed on Hulu, and so is "wargaming" a sell off of Lucasfilms, and they've actually already got an interested buyer, who, rumour-upon-rumour, is none other than George Lucas himself. Source for all this? Various internet sites who are typically anti-Disney.
Bonus rumour! Disney is seeing if someone will buy Pixar from them!
Here comes critic reviews for The Flash
"...clicks on all cylinders" – CBS News [English]
...credit DC/Warner Bros. with striking gold on the first try with "The Flash," a movie that wears its love for the comics that inspired it on its crimson-streaked sleeve. Funny, action-packed and effectively touching, anyone familiar with the DC stable of heroes should run, not walk, to see it.
Fast Review: Shazork, Fury of the Dorks
Shazam Fury of the Gods plays it too safe, and hides behind "we're family" sentiments to drive the emotion of the story line, and there's simply not a lot of story to make this viable.
Fury looks good and the special effects don't have rushed or unfinished sections (something that haunts some other superhero films of late, for example the more visually and thematically sophisticated family pseudo-drama Quantumania).

Update "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is headed for an excellent $120.5-million opening weekend..." – The Numbers
Spider-Verse 2 is a "Bedazzling Sequel" – Variety
Comic books, as I recall them from my youth, are fleet, terse, and puckishly deadpan, and you never know what the next panel will bring. But big-studio comic-book films tend to be top-heavy, rib-nudging, and visually bombastic, with rigidly overdetermined arcs...
One of the many pleasures of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” was that, as the first “Spider-Man” movie (and one of the only films of the Marvel/DC movie era) that was animated, it channeled the look and spirit and knowingly flat wonder of comic books...
