Richmond, Virginia

5065 Forest Hill Ave, Richmond, VA 23225

CLOSED PERMANENTLY

Visited this store frequently. It was a fairly large establishment awash with trade collection books and an extensive new issue selection on the racks. The front of the store had a mural of various superheroes, with Superman's trademarked logo cut out of his chest, creating a strange little window into the rest of the store, presumably the result of a run-in with the DC Comics legal department on trademark usage.

Over the years the store improved, though it didn't become any more organized. There were disagreeable things about the store the first few times I visited around 2004, but then years later it was suddenly run by a friendlier set of employees (apparently all female) and the inventory better marked.
