Some Box Office August 30, 2023
Tag-team championship wrestlers Oppenheimer and Barbie continue to rule the movie ring, and the summer box office is winding down with certain hard lessons: superhero movies are at a distinct disadvantage if any whiff of "lousy" is associated with them.

Ten underrated superhero movies
Story at Collider MSN
Discusses Bolt (2008), Watchmen (2009), Mystery Men (1999), The Old Guard (2020), Sky High (2005), Big Hero 6 (2014), Darkman (1990), Rocketeer (1991), The Crow (1994)
Article doesn't actually hit on ten films, but only nine, though it discusses Watchmen twice in reference to two different heroes: Silk Spectre and Nite Owl, so probably this article is a converted "Underrated Superheroes" article from the past.

Arleen Sorkin has died
The actress was the primary source for the original voice characterization of the Harley Quinn character. Meant to be a villain for a single episode of the Batman The Animated Series, instead the character grew to be one of the "top tier" characters in Batman's "Rogues Gallery" in every medium in which the Batman character appears.
Writer Paul Dini, who had gone to college with Sorkin, says he saw her in an episode of Days of Our Lives when he was home sick in bed and wanted her for the voice of Harley, a "wise-cracking blonde" and he was struck by her portrayal of a harlequin in a dream sequence in the show's episode.
Born on Oct. 14, 1955 - died August 26, 2023
The character Harley Quinn made her first appearance in the Batman: The Animated Series episode titled "Joker's Favor." It originally aired on September 11, 1992.
"Arleen Sorkin, Original Voice of Harley Quinn and ‘Days of Our Lives’ Actress, Dies at 67" – MSN Hollywood Reporter – "Mark Hamill, who often recorded his lines as the Joker opposite Sorkin, also remembered her in a tribute, writing: "Devastated to learn we’ve lost the brilliant Arleen Sorkin. Not just a wonderful talent, but a truly wonderful person. I’m grateful not only to have worked with her, but to have been her friend. Sending my heartfelt condolences to her family & loved ones."

[Prior to the Harley Quinn character appearing on Batman The Animated Series in 1992, there was a previous character called simply "Harlequin" with a radically different wardrobe that appeared as a villain in DC Comics.
