The Shadow issue 7 - Frank Robbins

The Shadow #7

Frank Robbins, 1974

A lot of Frank Robbin's work for DC Comics seemed to blend comics books, comic strips, TV detective and cop shows, classic radio programs and classic films from Hollywood. The Shadow #7 has a character right out of Hollywood's many versions of Hunchback of Notre Dame - script by Denny O' Neal. (The theme of using a classic monster movie character in a homage continued with the next issue of The Shadow, with Robbins drawing The Mummy.)
