Speculated Black Widow origin movie
Scarlett Johansson has been talking in celebrity press interviews about a proposed Black Widow origin movie (the idea was first mentioned in the press in February 2011), and though the Johansson film is only a tentative possibility at this point, there are a list of movies coming from Marvel Studios that do have official production dates, like: Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Hulk 2, etc. (See the whole list of Marvel Studios coming films on The Avengers page) With the combined force of the Avenger's boxoffice, and the strong audience response to the Black Widow character from Iron Man 2, it seems inevitable Johansson will get back into the black hero suit.
The Avengers Natasha Romanoff
"Though her costume was unforgivingly unbreathable and she spent months training to perform in it, Johansson said she’d wear it again in a second to tell the story of Black Widow.
“I love her origin story. I think it’s just such a riveting one,” she said. “It’s just steeped in history and the richness to shoot in Russia, perhaps. ... I hope that the fans’ voice is loud enough and they want to see a Widow origin story, I know Marvel would be happy to entertain that. We’ve spoken a lot about it.”
...“You see a little bit about how Natasha joined and it’s not that she’s fighting for the greater good of humanity,” the actress said. “She was almost salvaged by S.H.I.E.L.D. and so she’s loyal to that group, to that agency, but only as sort of paid debt.”

Interview at Collider about the Avengers Movie, April 2012
SCARLETT JOHANSSON: What do you think is happening in there?
Well, it seems like there’s some kind of force that has arrived in New York City and I imagine you guys are there to put a stop to whatever that is.
RENNER: We’re avenging something.
JOHANSSON: We’re avenging something.
RENNER: (laughs) We’re fighting, I can tell you that, so it’s hot and sweaty.
Each other?
JOHANSSON: Perhaps. We’re fighting together, I think, and we’re having a good time. It’s good fun, a lot of work.
.....RENNER: (laughs) Aren’t you going off to do Iron Man 3?
JOHANSSON: Yeah, we’re on the same flight. I think the whole idea is that you want the audience to be as enthusiastic as you are about the characters and in that, you hope that you’ll be able to take the character farther. It’s certainly a process to zip up the suit every time and it gets harder with each passing year, but I mean, if it was badass and it incorporated the darker side of the character and got down to the nitty-gritty of who she is, I would like to see that movie.

Scarlett Johansson signed for NINE films
Brief story at fandango about the future for the Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff character in the Marvel movieland:
"...it is an indication of where Marvel plans to go once they're done with their current crop of superhero cross-promotion. While speaking at a press conference for the new Iron Man 2 DVD, Marvel chief Kevin Feige admitted that they're currently working on a spin-off film for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow character. He noted, "We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea, but The Avengers comes first." Feige later added that they haven't done much else except begin to put concepts together."

Hopefully Johansson will fair better than Halle Berry did with the Batman-spinoff "Catwoman" movie from 2004, which seemed to demonstrate Warners/DC Comics have a difficulty putting together a standalone character film for superhero characters (unless it is directed by Chris Nolan). Marvel Studios seems to have a better sense of what to do.
