Batman: "This day, gnomes will see how men fight! And bones break, men eat through straws!"
Adams' artwork in the 2011-2012 series (there was a six-issue version in 2010-2011) is comparatively more like sketchbook pen drawings compared to the tight finish that was put into his earlier Batman work (however, it should be said, even in this relaxed 'sketchbook' mode, Adams' work is still head and shoulders above in storytelling skill versus so many superhero comics of 2013).
The writing quality also has a disjointed story-telling attitude, with word balloons repeating visual actions or acting as strange footnotes to the scene.
